Christina Applegate Was Brought To Tears After Receiving A Standing Ovation At The Emmys

  The  Dead to Me  star, who was also a nominee at the ceremony, took the stage to present the first award of the night. The Emmys began with an emotional and celebratory start when  Christina Applegate  received a standing ovation. Following host Anthony Anderson's opening monologue, he announced Christina as the presenter for the first award of the night, Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. He noted the celeb, who was nominated for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for  Dead to Me , had been acting since she was 1. After Anthony went over to walk Christina to the mic, the audience rose to their feet. The reason for the standing ovation, while not directly stated, may be in recognition of Christina living with multiple sclerosis after being  diagnosed  in 2021. "Thank you so much. Katherine Heigl Appeared Emotional During The "Grey's Anatomy" Reunion During The Emmys

Katherine Heigl  took to the stage with Ellen Pompeo,  Justin Chambers , James Pickens Jr., and  Chandra Wilson  for a  Grey's Anatomy  reunion at the Emmys. Now, it's worth noting that Katherine won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2007. Katherine and  Loretta Devine  are subsequently the only actors to have won Emmys for their time on the show. However, the Emmys were a  big part  of the discussion surrounding Katherine's departure from the show. Before she left in the middle of Season 6, Katherine withdrew herself from the 2008 Emmys race because she felt the quality of material given to her was not of a high enough standard.
